The Eaton Cottage, Robbinston Maine. Imagine greeting the day from the private 225' beach or waterside crow's nest of your cottage as the sun rises and fills the eastern sky with its breathtaking palette. They don't call it the Sunrise Coast for nothing!

Spend the day in the wooded privacy of five acres, relaxing on the cottage's ¾ wrap-around porch, napping in the hammock, or watching the eagles and osprey from the crow's nest or beach.

In the evening, throw some corn, salmon and wood into a basket and dine on the beach as you watch the moon rise over the river and bay or take in the August meteor shower -- spectacular!

On rainy days, you can still hang out on the porch. Or if it's chilly, you can build a fire in the original Rumford fireplace and grab a good book. It won't be long before the bricks radiate deep, comforting heat that will make you long for a series of rainy days.

And if work should call, the Wi-Fi is high speed and ready to support you.
You might veer toward keeping this all to yourself, but the cottage loves being shared with family and friends. Go ahead, let them in on your secret once in a while. But remember, there is a gate at the top of the driveway if they fall too deeply in love with your sanctuary. They'll understand. They've been there.
Eaton Cottage is quintessential Maine - from an era where hard working families traded fast paced cities for late spring, summer and early fall (the leaves are amazing) in coastal Downeast Maine. She remains true to her original design. The interior and exterior woodwork, fireplace, stained glass, privacy and views of the property and cottage have been preserved for more than 115 years. (George H. Eaton built the Eaton Cottage sometime between 1889 and 1905, and the current owners purchased it in 2000.)
