Property Description
Pristine Cathance lake! Fully furnished Log cabin camp with tongue and groove pine on the inside, Well insulated and kept warm with a woodstove. Two bedrooms and the loft allow plenty of room for family and friends. Walk in to the water from the sandy beach or dive off the new Dock. The screen house offers tons of outdoor enjoyment day or night.
The camp has 2 generators, an out building for storage, and a screen house.
Cathance Lake is (Fresh Water) 6 1/2 miles long, one of the (5) purest lakes in the State of Maine, offering fishermen a variety of Land Locked Salmon, Native Brook Trout and all the Small Mouth Bass you want to catch, without size or catch limit.
Cathance Lake has an association that all property owners are welcomed to join, a family membership is only $25.00 annually. A barbecue meal is provided at the annual meeting and election of officers. Our association is particularly proud of the fact of the number of volunteers that donate their time to do water testing in a number of areas on the lake; each year volunteers go onto the lake in their watercraft to count and document the number of Loons, both adult and baby loons.
There is a large number of volunteers that are on duty at the boat launch to inspect all boats, the inspectors are trained to inspect for Invasive Plants; the volunteer inspectors thoroughly inspect all boats before entering the lake, and when the boats are taken from the lake, in an attempt to keep Cathance Lake free of Invasive Plants.
Cathance Lake is only 30 minute drive to the Atlantic Ocean, where there is no scarcity of the lobster and clam fishermen selling their days catch to anyone seeking fresh seafood for supper
